How it works

How it clicks into place

Three steps from enquiry to their first lesson, usually within a week.

  1. Tell us the vibe

Instrument or language, age, what they listen to, and when they’re free. A two-minute form, or a WhatsApp message.

  2. We match an instructor

Someone who clicks with your teen, not just their calendar. Every instructor has passed our full vetting check.

  3. First lesson’s free

A 45-minute trial with no contract. If it feels right, pick a plan. If not, no hard feelings.

  • Schedule and reminders

Every lesson for every child in one view, with reminders a day and two hours before.

  • Reschedule without the back-and-forth

Pick an open slot with the same teacher. You see exactly what it costs in make-up credits before you confirm.

  • Billing that explains itself

Each invoice lists lessons taken and lessons credited. Pay by FPX online banking or card, processed securely by Stripe.

FAQ

Questions parents ask first

What ages do you teach?

Ages 6 to 17, depending on the subject: piano 6–17, guitar 9–17, drums 8–17, voice 10–17; Mandarin 9–17, English 9–17, Korean 12–17. Complete beginners are welcome in every subject.

You teach languages now?

Yes. Mandarin, English and Korean, one-to-one, in the same weekly 45-minute format as our music lessons, with the same vetted-teacher rule, the same make-up credits and the same progress report.

Classes are conversation first and built around what your teen already watches and reads. School-syllabus support and HSK or TOPIK exam paths are optional.

How does the free trial work?

Tell us about your teen and when they’re free. We match an instructor and book a 45-minute trial, usually within a week.

There’s no contract and no card needed. If it clicks, you choose a monthly plan afterwards.

What if we need to miss or move a lesson?

Cancel at least 24 hours before and you get a make-up credit, valid 60 days. Book it into any open slot with the same teacher from the app.

Inside 24 hours, you can still move the lesson using a credit you already have. The app shows exactly what will happen before you confirm. If we cancel, you always get the lesson back.

How do you keep my child safe?

Every instructor passes a credentials check, a demo lesson and interview, two references, a background check, and signs our safeguarding policy and code of conduct before the director signs them off. Clearances expire and are renewed.

Children never get their own login. We store the minimum about them — first name, age band, instrument and level — and nothing like IC numbers, school or photos. We handle personal data under Malaysia’s PDPA 2010 as amended in 2024.

How do I pay?

Monthly, by FPX online banking or card. Payments are processed by Stripe, so your card details never reach our systems. You can switch on auto-pay or pay each invoice yourself.

Where are lessons held?

At Fregaard Music Avenue Studios in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, in sound-treated studios. Parents are welcome to wait in the lounge.

Do you offer online lessons?

Lessons are in person. If you’re travelling, your teacher can run an occasional lesson by video call instead of cancelling — just ask in the app.
